Jab is a personal record for a GLP‑1 medication, taken as a weekly injection or a daily tablet. If something is not working, or you cannot find a setting, start here — and if the answer is not below, email info@imlerai.com.
Setting up your plan
Open My Plan and enter the medication you are on, whether you take it as a weekly injection or a daily tablet, the date of your first dose, and each step of the schedule your prescriber gave you — the dose, and how many weeks you stay on it. Jab then counts down to your next dose and tells you the day before your dose is due to change.
Why won’t Jab suggest a dose?
Because it should not, and it deliberately cannot. Jab holds no dose amounts, strengths or schedules of its own — every dose you see is one you typed in, from what your prescriber told you. It is a record of your treatment, not a source of medical advice. If you are unsure what you should be taking, that is a question for your prescriber.
Reminders
Jab sends a reminder when your dose is due — on your shot day if you inject weekly, or every day if you take a tablet — and a heads‑up the day before your dose steps up. You can change the time on the My Plan screen; it applies immediately.
The plan reminder is deliberately discreet. Its title is “Shot day”, or “Today’s dose” for a tablet, and underneath it says “Tap to log it once you’ve taken it.” The heads‑up reads “Your dose changes tomorrow” and “Open Jab to check the step you’re moving to.” Neither names your medication or states a dose.
Two things do show more, and both are yours to choose. If you switch on the separate reminder for an individual medication when you add or edit it, that reminder names the medication and, if you entered one, the dose amount — leave it off if you would rather that not appear on your lock screen. And the home‑screen widget shows the dose of the step you are on (the amount only, never the name of the medication) next to its countdown.
If you see no reminders at all, check that notifications are allowed for Jab in your phone’s settings.
What is free, and what Jab Pro adds
Free: logging doses, your titration plan and ladder, dose‑day reminders, weight, side effects, protein and water, your schedule, injection‑site history, pens and supply, the home‑screen widget and app lock. Logging doses, side effects, weight, protein and water is free and always will be.
Jab Pro: side effects charted against your dose changes, the full estimated‑levels screen, body measurements beyond weight, a weight goal and trend, the journal, progress photos side by side, a PDF or CSV summary to take to your prescriber, and a meal photo scan that estimates calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they are cancelled there rather than inside Jab.
- iPhone: open the Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Jab → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Google Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Jab.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in, and Pro stays unlocked until that period ends. If you are in a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
Restoring a purchase
If you have paid but Pro is not showing — after reinstalling, or on a new phone — open Jab, tap the person icon at the top right of the Home screen, scroll to the Subscription card and tap Restore purchases. The same link is at the bottom of the screen that offers Pro. You need to be signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.
Apple Health
Connecting is optional. On iPhone, tap the person icon at the top right of Home and use the Apple Health card. Jab reads your weight, and the protein and water you have already logged in another app; it writes back only the weight and body fat you enter in Jab. To change or remove access later, open the Health app → your profile picture → Privacy → Apps → Jab.
The meal photo scan
A Jab Pro feature under Protein & water. You pick a photo of a meal or a nutrition label. The scan names the items it can see and estimates their calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat; Jab shows you the items with the calories and the protein, and you can choose to add the protein to your day. To do that the photo is sent to Anthropic, a third‑party AI service, for the analysis; Jab asks before the first one, and Jab does not store the photo. It is an estimate and can be wrong.
Progress photos
Progress photos are kept on your phone only. They are not uploaded, so they do not move to a new phone with your account and are lost if you delete the app. Keep the originals in your own photo library if you want them anywhere else. Removing a photo in Jab removes its entry; the picture file can stay in the app’s storage on the phone until you delete the app.
Deleting your account
Open Jab, and on the Home screen tap the person icon at the top right. Scroll to the bottom of that screen and tap Delete my account. It asks twice, then removes your account and its records from Jab’s database and clears what the app has saved about you on the phone. It cannot be undone.
What that does not reach: progress photo files already on the phone can stay in the app’s storage until you delete the app; our subscription processor keeps its own record of a purchase; and backup copies of the database age out on our provider’s schedule. The Privacy Policy sets this out.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. If you subscribe to Jab Pro, cancel it first using the steps above, or it will keep renewing.
If you cannot open the app, email info@imlerai.com and we will delete the account for you.
What Jab collects and how it is stored is set out in the Privacy Policy. The short version: no name or email is required, we do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and the only thing ever sent to an outside AI service is a meal photo you choose to scan.
